Amor Pedra (StoneLove)

Stonelove is a deeply personal, semi-autobiographical short film co-created by Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf and Brazilian filmmaker Diogo Soares Martins. The film explores the complexities of their cross-cultural relationship as immigrants from different parts of the world, blending visual and narrative styles to investigate how individuality and togetherness ebb and flow within their partnership.

This cross-disciplinary work merges Fontaine-Wolf’s surrealist neo-baroque imagery with Soares Martins’ Latin fantastic-realist approach, fusing documentary and fiction to create a dreamlike, sensory exploration of their shared experiences. Set against the backdrop of their life in Portugal, Stonelove offers a poetic reflection on love, identity, and belonging, rendering an abstract melodrama.
